Massage may help alleviate signs & symptoms of endometriosis & prepare their bodies for conception.
I also offer pregnancy, postnatal, relaxation & sports massage.

Bachelor of Science, Physiology & Microbiology major
Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing Management

I spent 8 years working in the pharmaceutical industry prior to studying massage at the NZ College of Massage in 2008.
Bella Mama Pregnancy Spa & Wellness Centre is where I initially worked as a massage therapist and gained experience prior to starting my own business 6 years ago.
MY STORY
From 12 years of age, I endured 16 years of chronic period pain & heavy debilitating periods. After numerous doctors visits, I was prescribed the pill at age 15 to manage my symptoms. I suffered with glandular fever age 16 and finally by 21 was able to have my first laparoscopy to find out whether I had endometriosis. Three laparoscopies in my 20’s led to a diagnosis of stage 4 endometriosis which had spread to my bowel and bladder.
At the age of 28y, my specialist told me that I required more laparoscopic surgery, if I didn't have children by 30, I wouldn't be able to & would need a full hysterectomy within 3-5 years due to the severity of my endometriosis.
It was a grim prognosis for my then single self.
In September 2004, I was speaking with a friend from my squash team about my situation. She recommended I try a Massage therapist who had success in helping women with endometriosis pain and symptoms by treating the cause.
At this stage, although questioning, I was willing to give anything a try to help with the pain.
Due to the severity of endometriosis, I had been taking the pill continuously for 4 years without having periods which certainly didn’t feel right. I stopped taking the pill after the first massage which resulted in a huge flush with my first cycle, I had 2 more massages in the following cycle and from that second cycle onwards I was PAIN FREE.
I continued to get massages monthly just before my monthly cycle to make sure I stayed pain free. This helped me overcome the fear of the Endometriosis pain returning and believe it has given me significant longevity of being pain free.
This massage technique helped to extensively reduce my endometriosis pain & symptoms over that time and I fell pregnant naturally 2 years later. I believe that this massage enabled me to conceive naturally. After our first wee boy was born, I chose to have this massage again between each of our other 2 children and fell pregnant the following cycle both times.
We now have 3 beautiful little boys and I’ve been Endometriosis pain-free for 15 years.
This massage has changed my life for the better in so many ways!
This experience inspired me to study massage so I could assist women who suffer with endometriosis pain or infertility issues.
Pre-conception massage is an abdominal massage technique which may be beneficial for preparing for pregnancy with fertility issues such as tipped uterus, ovarian cysts, repeat miscarriages, poor circulation, scar tissue, a thin uterine lining, and abdominal adhesions.
This massage may also be helpful for digestive problems & urinary issues.
I have had the privilege of massaging many pregnant women which has multiple benefits for mums and bubs.
Receiving Pregnancy massage allows you to deeply relax and enjoy time with your baby during this precious time.
Pregnancy massage is a side lying massage which is safe & comfortable for the client from 15 weeks to full term. I use a number of stretches to ease lower back and hip pain that are common during pregnancy. Regular pregnancy massage allows you to feel connected with your body and your baby. Pregnancy is a time of immense change, emotionally, physically and hormonally and pregnancy massage is just the ticket to help you feel balanced again and have some well deserved relaxation, especially if you have everyday stresses like work or other children to run after.
Postnatal Massage helps to realign your body after birth, whilst easing back and shoulder aches from holding and feeding baby. It also gives you time out to relax after sleepless nights which improves wellbeing. You are welcome to bring baby along for the massage.
