ABOUT THE TREATMENT
This abdominal massage technique has helped many women by treating the cause, symptoms and progression of endometriosis.
I know first hand how debilitating endometriosis can be, suffering with debilitating pain and heavy periods since 12 years old when I started menstruating. I had 3 lots of laparoscopic surgery in my 20’s and my endometriosis kept coming back faster, it had progressed to my bowel and bladder and included symptoms of adenomyosis. I was also riddled with scar tissue following all these procedures.
At 28 years old, I was told by my specialist that I required more surgery immediately (a year after last surgery), that probably wouldn't be able to have children post 30y and potentially required
a full hysterectomy within 3- 5 years due to the severity of my endometriosis.
It was a fairly grim outlook for a single women as I knew I wanted children at some point in my future.
I was recommended for a more holistic treatment for alleviating endometriosis symptoms. I was sceptical but willing to give anything a try at this stage. I had 3 treatments initially on a weekly basis and I chose to go just prior to my period once per month thereafter to keep pain maintained. This kept my pain away completely for the 2 years prior to having my children and my periods chnged and were much more manageable. I totally believe these treatments helped me conceive naturally by treating the cause and alleviating the symptoms of endometriosis.
Each time I had this massage with subsequent pregnancies, conceived the following cycle and now we have 3 beautiful boys.
20 years later, I still dont have any signs or symptoms of endometriosis, my periods are now 4 days instead of 10, are far less heavy and not painful which I am completely grateful for as it has changed my life.
My experience through having this treatment has specifically inspired me to train as a massage therapist to help other women suffering from endometriosis as I believe a full body approach to healing is optimal.
I usually encourage clients initially to come for 3 massages at least 7 days apart & within a 2 month period or less, to help alleviate signs of endometriosos and period pain.
Thereafter, once every 3-6 months for maintenance to keep symptoms under control.
For clients with period pain/endometriosis, I would suggest coming for a massage just before your period.

A client arrived for her massage today saying… “she’d had a baby since last time I saw her” She originally came for the endo 3 massage package with no intention of trying for another baby and conceived soon after her 3rd massage to her surprise.” I massaged her in March 23 and her baby girl is now 10 months old it was great to see her today and reset after her pregnancy to keep her endo pain free. Hi Pip “I thought Id check in with an update my recent cycle arrived without me realising as I had very minimal pain in the lead up to it and had minimal pain during it. Thats huge for me …. So hopeful that its going to be a lot better moving forward” I really am grateful for your supportive help and hope you have a great day ahead. Endo sufferer now completely pain free! I had 3 endo sessions with Pip and I am now completely pain free... at first it was so surreal, I kept waiting for the debilitating pain to return at any moment... but it didn't! Not only that, I haven't even had mild pain or slight pain - NO PAIN. Not even a twinge. I only wish I had done it sooner! Thank you so much Pip - I'm forever grateful and will recommend you to anyone I come across who has endo/fertility/pelvic issues. You are a miracle worker. Rose xx |
Hi Pip I just wanted to let you know I got my period a couple of days ago and pretty much had little to no pain. Probably my first period ever without such severe cramps and it’s been amazing!!!! So thank you so much your amazing. After three months I’ve ovulated for the first time without medication, had a normal length cycle of 29 days, a period that started by itself and finished by itself after 5 days. I’ve never had this before! I usually bleed for weeks - if not months, so I was over the moon when I woke up on a Tuesday morning to see it had stopped completely! I truly believe it is all down to the massages. And look forward to coming back again! I highly recommend getting Pip’s endometriosis massage. I’ve suffered with Level 3 Endometriosis for years, even needing surgery — but the pain returned, and I was told a hysterectomy was next. Someone suggested I see Pip, and although I was sceptical, I’m so grateful I went. She is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and after just three massages, my pain and fatigue disappeared. I’m no longer spending days in bed recovering or walking around bent over in pain. These massages have genuinely changed my life and saved me from another surgery. In my case, Pip helped where specialists couldn’t. I’m now pain-free and have my life back. Thank you, Pip — I’m forever grateful. Kelli |

Hey Phillippa, how are you? I hope it doesn't sound weird but I literally think of you every 28 days ha ha ....And guess what arrived today?! I can't believe how much my body, moods and periods have improved! You literally are an angel! I will book another endo massage in with you in a couple of months. I'm so so glad I met you, you have made a world of difference to my life, so thank you xx |
So Period arrived yesterday (a day earlier than expected) and pain has been much, much less than usual. I left work yesterday and am not in today, can't quite face a class of 7 year olds but to be honest it's more bowel issues and extreme tiredness than pain. So definitely recommend you endo girls to get in to see Phillippa Lodge for a few massages. |

just letting you know I had a very easy period this week, it was bang on 28 days (woohoo) and only a couple of panadol required on day 1 for niggling pain. 3 days bleeding and done, its been such a vast improvement.
thanks a million I do think your massages have helped immensely!

Ever since I met you, we had such a good connection, frightening in some senses as we were so much alike! You literally changed my life with your magic hands - to go from no regular cycle, not ovulating and being in crippling pain on a regular basis to having a regular cycle, ovulating and no pain was the biggest surprise and very welcomed one at that! I didn’t really appreciate the PMS that came with being a real women, but hey - you have to take the good with the bad right! I still laugh that I txt you saying ummm why am I so irrational and hormonal ha ha - thank god for Doterra Balance!
I can’t thank you enough Pip, I will be eternally grateful for the miracle you have given us xx it is also a sign D was meant to walk into my life... if it wasn’t for him and his sister who also came for fertility massage, I may have never met you!

My story begins as a teenager, I always had heavy and painful periods and then they appeared to get less painful as I got older but continued to always be heavy but manageable. I was questioned to have endometriosis in my early 30s but no diagnostic tests were done by the GP and I continued on. Ten years later I proceeded to sit in my gynaecologist office to be told I had extensive endometriosis (stage 4) after it took 2 years of a diagnosis after it was picked up on a MRI for a hip injury I had suffered. I found Pip online after I did some online research and reading in a bookstore and felt to explore the ‘massage’ journey for symptom relief. The best way to describe my symptoms in the last few years was heavy, bloating and painful periods (requiring to be on medication for pain and breaking down clots). I am a person that can function and work with my periods but I have a very high pain tolerance so this helped somewhat! But I started to notice that between my periods I would feel ‘stiff’ a lot in my body (especially after exercise), and I could always ‘feel’ my endometriosis so to speak and hence would be readily aware of it on most days. I started seeing the results after my second massage with my period requiring no medication. I still felt bloated and uncomfortable but couldn’t believe not needing to take any medication. I didn’t understand about the ‘3’ massages but I clearly get it now after having my 3rd massage! I am now completely symptom free between my periods and after exercising. I sometimes have to take medication for pain and clotting reduction but hardly ever and I notice it’s more to do with stress. All I can say is wow and massage is so underrated in the medicine world - it should be recognised a whole lot more. For someone who was going to have a major operation to now not currently needing one…I don’t need to write anything else but thank-you Pip for helping me enter a ‘new world’ of symptom free, I still can’t quite believe it :) Claire I wanted to just share a breakthrough I had with one of my endometriosis clients. She has been for 2 massages after suffering for years with debilitating symptoms of endometriosis (vomiting/fainting/bowel issues, severe pmt to name a few) which have impacted her life terribly, as it did to me, so I can relate. She came for her third massage last week and she said her last period had improved hugely, going from 10 days down to 4, less heavy and no pain, she said she wanted to shout from the rooftops, she was so overjoyed at the feeling of experiencing what a normal women should with their period!! I am super stoked to be able to help her as i was helped a few years back and enabled me to have children which I (or my drs) didnt think would happen. If you know of anyone with debilitating endometriosis symptoms, please send them to me, this technique changed my life and I hope to be able to change the lives of other women who suffer for the better too, including helping them with the journey to motherhood. |

Not only did I have minimal pain (like only minor cramps) I had so much energy! I was able to get on with my life like a normal person! Thank you so so much for changing my life! Where once I would spend two days in bed or dragging myself around due to incredible pain, then spend a whole week trying to recover from the exhaustion of it all, I can now just get on with my day and enjoy it. You are incredible and thank you for sharing your gifts with other women so they can live normal lives. See you soon! In 2014 I was diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. For years I thought the pain was normal. It wasn’t until that pain turned to daily pain, migraines, dizzy spells and vomiting that I sought help. I had my first and last operation that year. After my operation the recovery time was long and at times painful. Within a year the pain started to return.
I had read about fertility massage with Phillippa Lodge (Pip) and had been discussing it with my sister in law whom decided to surprise me by booking me in for my first of many massages with Pip.
What a life changer! If it wasn’t for Pip’s endometriosis massages I am confident I would have had another operation by now. It’s no ordinary massage that Pip offers. She has a very unique talent and gift. The recovery time is fast compared to that of an operation and I was able to go back to normal activities straight away.
Whilst Pip has helped a huge amount of women become pregnant and has many testimonies for their experiences, I felt it was important to write about my experience in her helping me combat endometriosis. She has given me quality of life back. To be able to feel normal and like a woman again is an incredible feeling and one that every woman deserves.
After being through both an operation and massages with Pip, I can’t recommend her enough to woman suffering from endometriosis. To find a way of removing the endometriosis and pain naturally is an option we are so lucky to have in this country.

Hi Pip,
Belated happy new year - hope you and the family are enjoying a well-deserved break!
As I said, I have had this email in draft for months now trying to get the words just right so please excuse the length. It is the first time I’ve ever put down in words all that I’ve been through and every time I try and read through it, I bawl my eyes out because I have never really taken the time to comprehend it all or more importantly, how much my life has changed for the better in the past 10 months since I met you.
As you might remember, before seeing you I’d had a real time of it. I’d had heavy, painful periods that lasted for months at a time for over 20 years. I have always struggled with my weight and when I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2011, was repeatedly told by my GP to “just eat less and move more and that will fix everything”. I was put on the pill at 15 to “regulate” my period and stayed on several variations of it for a good 10 years on and off. I had severe anaemia and iron deficiency needing at least 12 iron infusions over a period of several years. I was repeatedly told not to worry about my cycle issues until I was ready to have a baby and that in the meantime, losing weight was the only way to address any symptoms I was experiencing.
In 2019, I needed three surgeries to remove one of my ovaries due to a cancerous growth, during the second of which they found I also had early endometriosis. My surgeon recommended I get the Mirena to help with the excessive bleeding and because my iron was so severely low, I was able to get it for free, which convinced me to get it without really thinking much about it. The Mirena immediately helped to “control” my bleeding post surgery and for the first time, I experienced what I thought were normal cycles (bleeding once a month for 5 to 7 days) and my periods were significantly lighter. However, I knew I wasn’t addressing my underlying hormonal issues and always felt some discomfort in my abdomen, which I was told was normal and nothing to worry about and that it was still doing “more good than harm”.
It was after my surgeries in 2019 that my endo pain got really bad. For years I had experienced back, leg and cramping pains but they were often dismissed as sports/ gym injuries and I was regularly referred to a physio or told that they were just a “normal part of your cycle because of your weight” and to lose weight to address it. From early 2019, though my bleeding finally seemed to be under control, I was in chronic pain every day. Some days it was so bad I could hardly get out of bed, spending much of our first level 4 lockdown curled in a ball on the floor. I was prescribed a number of painkillers but always had a bad reaction to them and also didn’t want to become reliant on them just to function day-to-day. I was prescribed some supplements by my nutritionist but they weren’t very effective for pain either. I started practising yoga regularly. Everything helped a little but any relief I got was short-lived.
Then I saw Jessica from Wellness by Jessica post on Instagram about your massage treatments for endo and willing to try anything at this point, I made my first appointment with you in March 2021. I have now been completely pain-free since my second massage with you on 8 April 2021. I honestly didn’t think that was possible and I think I’ve just been so skeptical about the relief lasting (not a reflection on you at all - just that I feel I’ve been let down by my body so many times before in the past, being pain free has seemed too good to be true) that I haven’t wanted to jinx it by putting it on paper but now nine months on, I realise how different my life is and how far I’ve come.
Some things I’ve been able to do since April:
I still have a long way to go and as we both know, the work is constant but I am so relieved to finally be making some progress on my health journey and I know that the wins I’ve had already would not have been possible without your help. The biggest thing for me is that I no longer feel helpless. If I get some cycle pain or acne etc, I know what to do to try and address it. I’m not having to deal with 100 symptoms at once without knowing where to start. I now have tools that I can use to help myself and I feel so empowered being able to take control back of my health and my life.
Now that I’m feeling so better in my personal life, it’s made me stop and do a bit of a stocktake about what I want to do with the rest of my life. As I mentioned, I’m enrolling in the Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage at Wellpark College starting at the end of February as a starting point and am really looking forward to it. I’d love to keep chatting about training with you after that! Massage has been life-changing for me and I would love if I could help people the way you’ve helped me.
Anyway, sorry this has been long but I just wanted you to know how much you’ve helped me even though words seem inadequate. Pip, you are such a godsend and the work you do is so important. I will never stop being grateful that I met you. The only downside is now that I’m pain free, I may not see you as often and you truly are such a ray of sunshine in what has felt like 20+ years of storms! I look forward to catching up again soon anyway.
Thank you for supporting me and for the work you do.
Love, Danielle xx
I was diagnosed with endo at age 14 and spent the next 15 years in and out of hospital. I had endured 2 surgeries to remove the endo and lived on pain meds. A weight had lifted off my shoulder and not only did I feel relief for the first time in years, my whole lifestyle changed. My pelvic ultrasound showed way more movement and minimal post 3rd massage and my AMH levels went up! I have now been off my pain meds for 7 months. I didn’t think the pain free me would last but that was in April 2023 and we are now in Jan 2024. I have been back for a WOF massage and now plan to work with Pip to help me with my conception journey.

Some things I’ve been able to do since April:
- Had my Mirena IUD removed despite all my healthcare professionals (two GPs, gynaecologist/ surgeon and ultrasound technician) all urging me not to as they all agreed the Mirena helps manage endo pain and none believed I would be able to regulate or manage my periods or my chronic pain without it. I was repeatedly told that unless I was actively trying to get pregnant, there was no good reason to remove it. In the end, my GP only agreed to remove it on the proviso that when - not if - the bleeding became heavy again, I would get it put back in, which “should be easy for you since you have good insurance”. Since the removal of my Mirena, I have never felt better.
- Regulate my period - I now have a regular, easily managed “normal” period cycle, which means I no longer have to spend all my time trying to work around heavy bleeding and as it seems I am now ovulating regularly on my own, I am told that it is unlikely that I have PCOS after all. I’m also much more in sync with my cycles and can better track the different phases of them, which helps me to manage any symptoms that do crop up.
- I’m back into regular exercise - to date I’ve lost over 8kgs and am back on track to being fitter and stronger. Now that I’m not in chronic pain all the time, I really enjoy working out again. I no longer see it as physical punishment for what I’ve eaten but rather just an enjoyable part of my daily routine. While being able to fit my clothes better is nice, it’s really the mental health benefits that come with being back in a regular exercise program that have had the biggest positive impact for me.
- I sleep so much better. I’m no longer waking several times a night due to pain or cramps, which means when I get up in the morning, I have much more energy. I don’t dread getting out of bed every day like I used to.
- Mentally I’m feeling much stronger. I no longer get panicked or anxious if I’m heading out somewhere worrying that I’ll bleed through my clothing or start to feel sick or in pain and have to find somewhere to try and stretch out or have to try and leave early and make up an excuse.
I still have a long way to go and as we both know, the work is constant but I am so relieved to finally be making some progress on my health journey and I know that the wins I’ve had already would not have been possible without your help.
